Men to blame for wet wipes being flushed...

Here I've got two articles about why the sewerage system is getting blocked with wet wipes that are being flushed down the toilet.  The first article pins the problem mainly on men, the second doesn't mention who is to blame at all.

So, are we to gather that the daily telegraph, being the bastion of equality and journalistic integrity that it is actually did a proper poll on the issue, or can we safely assume they asked a bunch of people their opinions and took it that they "did a poll".

How many men do you know would use wet wipes instead of toilet paper?  I can't think of anyone who would even buy them except for women.

If there's a problem, just blame men, despite the fact that female hygiene products block up sewerage more consistently than anything else.  Can we blame men on that one too?  Maybe if men took out the rubbish more often then maybe women wouldn't need to flush their products too!

Female teacher charged with having sex with four students - light sentence?

Here's a story about a former teacher who had sex with four students, two of them one after the other!

Notice how the article goes on to paint her as a victim for just wanting to feel "attractive and wanted", how the boys were willing participants, how she'd "suffered enough" and she was "not a pedophile".

I'd love to see a news report that painted that picture of a male teacher who had sex with only one of his students!

She faces a maximum sentence of 22 years, but will most probably get far less.

Why not let them leave and never let them return?

Here's a story about how Australian Counter Terrorism Squad has stopped 230 suspected jihadists from leaving Australia to join IS in the Middle East.

Question is, why?  I know that a stitch in time saves nine, but lets face it, until they actually do something we can't lock them up for 20 years to keep everyone safe.

No, they'll be prevented from leaving, they'll be given a slap on the wrist, because technically they haven't done anything that could warrant a long jail sentence, and they'll be free to organize attacks in Australia.

Great plan!

If I were a conspiracy theorist, I could suggest that the home security agencies secretly want an attack in Australia because then the Australian government would be forced to commit more money to the defense agency budgets and give them more power.

What could possibly go wrong?

Muslim man arrested for underage sex - details omitted

Isn't it interesting in this report about a man who had sex with a 12 year old girl and the headline wasn't "Accused Muslim pedophile arrested for sex with 12 year old girl".

Oh that's right, in order to be reported as a pedophile one must meet two criteria:
  1. Be male
  2. Be white
Anyone belonging to any other group will not be labelled as a pedophile, regardless of the evidence brought against them.

Woman has sex with 15 year old, no jail time - standard

So, here's another case of a woman who had sex multiple times with a 15 year old and was not jailed for any time.  Interestingly the Judge in the case actually stated that her actions constituted grooming.

Wonder how she got off so lightly?  Oh wait, that's right, she's a woman.

Woman 'sexts' pictures of her 12 year old girl, gets zero jail time

Here's a story about a woman who sent explicit photos of her 12 year old daughter to a man she was having an extramarital affair with, gets no jail time, only 5 years probation.

"No, Your Honour, she's not really guilty because a man made her do it.  She's really a good mother!" - paraphrased sentence of what may have been said to the Judge.

Woman cuts open pregnant woman's stomach, steals fetus

Here's a story about a woman who lured a 7-month pregnant woman to her home before cutting her open and removing the baby.

How do you know it's a Left-Wing news site?  Because a 7-month old fetus is still a baby.  Because it takes them FIVE PARAGRAPHS to identify the perpetrator as a woman.  Because it diminishes a woman cutting another woman open to "stabbing".

Why can't the media just report equally between the sexes?!?

Tragedy, but stabber has dark hair, not blonde

Here's an update of the guy they're looking for in relation to a terrible stabbing that occurred in Doncaster, an outer suburb of Melbourne Australia.

Even after the footage was released I was hearing all about how they're looking for a Caucasian, blonde man.  Now, it seems, the man they're looking for is nowhere near blonde.  I really do admire how the media is quick to demonize blonde males, but as soon as the criminal doesn't have blonde hair, they drop all mention of hair colour from the description.

Forgetting the fact that they had the public looking the wrong way for the most crucial part of the hunt for him, how nice is it that they've issued an apology to all the blonde men who've been eyed off suspiciously since the stabbing as "maybe he's the guy the police are looking for", oh wait, they haven't.

Maybe now the search for the real stabber can begin in earnest.

17 year old boy knocked off bicycle by female driver

Here's an interesting one about a 17 year old boy who was knocked off his bike and left bleeding after being told by the woman driving that she didn't want her kids to be late for school and also didn't want to freak them out at the sight of the boy's blood.

Noticeable in writing of the story is how it takes the article until the third paragraph to identify the driver as a woman.  Also noticeable is how the 17 year old boy isn't mentioned as a boy he's "a teenage cyclist".

Had the genders been reversed the headline would have been "Man knocks teenage girl off bike, flees scene".

More and more I'm noticing males who are victims being reduced to utilities (eg a worker, cyclist, etc) and women are always left as women and how they hide women as utilities when they do something wrong (eg a Bank Worker steals).

Let's ask for equality in reporting as well as in sentencing.  Remember that if the general public is outraged over a crime, then the punishment usually reflects that compared with similar crimes.

Woman has open relationship, upset man does too and ultimately leaves husband for one of her 'experiences'

Here's an interesting one about a woman who decided in 2008 to have an open relationship with her husband only weeks after he had a vasectomy.

What follows is an interesting tale about a woman who bedded twelve other people (including two women) but felt hurt when she found out her husband had only been seeing the one woman on the side what was younger than her.  Her husband broke it off, clearly in an attempt to appease his wife, but it didn't work.

Obviously the marriage broke down, but she tells it in an Eat, Pray, Love kind of way that one of her trysts contacted her and she divorced her husband for him.  So much for "not getting involved" and interesting that she justifies running away with one of her lays but feels hurt when her husband stayed with one woman for too long.

Let that be a lesson, if your wife wants and open relationship what she really wants is to test the waters and 'marry up' if she can.  There are obviously exceptions, but very few marriages that go 'open' last very long.

I find it very telling in this day and age that this kind of behaviour isn't only accepted, it's celebrated.  Much in the way Eat, Pray, Love was basically about a bored middle class woman leaving an otherwise decent guy to follow her feelings, this book sounds like an open invitation for middle age women to go sleeping around.

At least with this woman's story there were no children involved.  Thankfully!

UPDATE:  Seems that the ex-husband in the story has said a couple of brief things.  Mainly that he didn't want it.  Surprise, surprise.

Disney is sexist?

Apparently some women have noticed that most female Disney characters have similar faces, declare it to be sexist.

Not one of them has noticed that Disney hasn't really shown many positive male characters outside of Up.  If one were to look at Frozen, Brave and Tangled all of the male characters are stupid, brash, loud and are frequently beaten up by women for minimal reason and without apology.  But that's not 'sexism', so it's OK.

Australia has highest and lowest debt in the world?

Somehow Yahoo's left hand doesn't know what the right has is reporting.

In one article it claims that Australia has the highest debt in the world at the same time as another article claims Australia has low debt by world standards.

So, does that mean that simultaneously I can be the tallest in the country but also one of the shortest?

Mum charged over girl's death

Here's an article with the media leaping in to offer defense for a woman whose driving resulting in her car rolling and killing her 15 year old daughter.

From the first sentence you can tell that it's going to be presenting how upset the woman is over the whole affair: "As Lois Kirby's distraught mother...".   Not upset, distraught.

Where is the journalistic integrity we've come to expect from Yahoo news to tell us how the car rolled and why a supposed victim in a car crash has been raced before a Magistrate?  Another news report has her facing trial for a string of driving charges.

But that information would just hinder the general public from making an informed decision about the inadequacy of the court system to punish female offenders when the mother is let off with a non-sentence.

Female paramedic takes selfies with dying patients

Here's an interesting one about a female paramedic taking selfies with dying patients.

What's interesting is that the language in the title and sub-title doesn't mention that it's actually a female who is doing the wrong thing.  She also uploaded messages like "another moron" about a guy who was in a car crash.

Yet again, the media lets a woman off lightly where a man in the same position would have had the headline against him in the first few words.

Woman still looking for father from one night stand

Here's a followup to the story about the woman looking for the father of her child from a one night stand.

So, she's just looking for the child support payments a FIFO worker could pay a father for her new-born child.

I wonder if she'd be as keen to follow up on this if it turns out her FIFO man actually only stacks shelves at the local supermarket.  Only time will tell.

A baby is dead, a gender hidden

Here's a tragic story of a baby who was killed when a 'relative' cut its throat with a circular saw.

What they only casually mention when they get down to the FIFTH PARAGRAPH is that "the woman is in police custody".

If a man had done the same thing the headline would have read "Man kills baby with circular saw".

The rest of the article focuses on how "they're really nice, good, happy people".  When you're a woman, you don't need to worry about defending yourself, because the media is happy to offer up your defense for you!

Woman objects to transgender in Women's locker room, dropped as member

So, a woman has been dropped as a member for not towing the PC line.  Whilst I can see the gym's point, I also think that the people who pay for the privilege to work out should be made aware that, whilst the Men's room is for men and the Women's room is for women, there may be a few who don't fall into that category.

I wouldn't blame a woman for freaking out that a person who has a penis was walking around a space that set aside for women.

The Left can defend this because they secretly want all women to belong to Women's only gyms, but I would be interested to know if/when a transgender person gets knocked back from joining.  Then we'll see the debate really hot up.

For now, however, it's just being portrayed as a bigoted woman who refused to accept a transgender man/woman from being in an open change room.

Man turns himself in, gets publicly humiliated and taunted

So, here we have an example of a man turning himself into police and being taunted and humiliated as a result.

I guess police want to deter others from turning themselves in, because if you wanted to encourage people turning their respective selves in you'd let them do so with a little dignity.

Man applies to remove 'father' from birth certificate

Well, this is where sperm donation is going to take a sharp turn if this man successfully gets the man who raised him removed from his birth certificate.

So, thought that by having a child from another man's sperm through donation was going to secure your legacy?  Think again!  Damian Adams wants to remove any link of the man who raised him from his genealogy which means that, assuming the man who raised him has no naturally conceived children, will mean the man will be a biological 'dead end'.

So in 100 years when you watch shows like Who Do You Think You Are there'll be episodes where the father who raised an ancestor of the subject will be treated like a step-father, an after-thought, since apparently men who raise children from birth to adult-hood should not expect to be recognised in official documents.

So, if this guy had his way, would the birth certificate of children conceived through sperm donation have to contain the donor's name from birth or just updated when the child turns 18?

This is one of the reasons why I hold the belief that, as much as you might love your step-children, the reality is that you are and will always be a third wheel and can be dropped at any time.  Anyone thinking about their own legacy can only consider having their own children.  Anything else is just gambling with your life and legacy in a bet that is heavily stacked against you.

Regret in donating sperm, but for a different reason

Here's a guy who regrets donating sperm and believes men should stop doing so.

I can't help but feel that his arguments add weight to the whole "right to know" debate, but he takes it to the other extreme that children born that way are still his.

I guess what it all comes down to is that we're both looking out for the interests of the donors, who seem to get overlooked in all the media hype focusing only on the children and the mothers.

Labor wants to help women (but not men)

Labor has a plan to allow women to look up the violent histories of men, but it doesn't appear that the plan works both ways.

We do know, however, that men less likely to report violent women, that when the DO report them they aren't taken as seriously, so even if the plan DID include women, the chances are that only a very small percentage of violent women would be listed.

This move will help a few women and no men, but as we all know men are are 3rd class group behind women, children, disabled, seniors, youth, animals and pets.

Angry mob don't wait for justice in India

Here's an interesting story about an angry mob that grabbed an accused man from a jail and lynch him.

So, I guess he'll never get his day in court.  Now, I detest rape as much as most men, but I still think that accusations alone need to be backed up with evidence that needs to be investigated.  Imagine if every man in the West who was accused of rape were killed without trial, well there'd be far less men in the West.

Of course at least there'd be a real answer when women ask "where have all the good men gone".

Patricia Arquette's equality statement, Judge Judy's payday

So, it was noted (by the few people who actually watched the Oscars) that Patricia Arquette made a sweeping statement about how much less the females in the biz get paid less than their male counterparts.

I just saw that apparently Judge Judy (now aged 72) has been renewed for another 3 years, with her new contract renewal making her the highest paid celebrity on Television.

Doesn't really fit Aquette's narrative though, does it.  One thing I think Arquette is ignoring is how much physical preparation the men have to do compared with the women.  Do you think that Hugh Jackman or Chris Hemsworth were allowed to just turn up on day one of shooting in any old shape and just substitute a body double (note that it's mostly women who have used body doubles) or use CGI to make themselves look good.

But that's ok, because Arquette's going to argue about things like screen time, lines and parts because the months of working out to get prepared for a movie role haven't really applied to her.  If we ever see her in a movie that she'd had to work for months to drastically change her body, then I'll change my mind, but until then the realms of actors going all out for movie parts is predominantly a male thing.

Note:  I don't consider Natalie Portman losing 20 pounds, Rooney Mara getting facial piercings or Gwenyth Paltrow donning a fat suit for a role anywhere in the same league as DeNiro gaining 60 pounds of muscle, Tom Hanks losing 50 pounds or Christian Bale losing more than 60 pounds for their respective roles.

Sure, Hollywood expects all of their stars to be the best of the best, but you can bet if Hugh Jackman showed up on day one of shooting the next X-Men movie with a beer belly that the Studio would not simply put in a body double.

Apparently, as one Senior Lecturer at Deakin University states, sperm donation is not just like giving blood.

In the rest of the article is the usual fluff one would expect from a Left-Wing organization, but there are some real corkers in the article.

  1. She's was travelling around Europe and the USA to "focus upon public health issues for woman and children" - read as being "focus on health issues for anyone by men".  Great to be travelling the world 'studying' issues when it's clear that the conclusion was most probably written before the 'study' had begun.
  2. She claims that both the donors and the recipients 'want' to give out their information but apparently can't - read as the government should force all donors to give up their information because most of them want to give it up anyway.  How many donors (men) were actually asked? 80%? 20%? A couple of guys she knows?
  3. "It struck me, that in all the studies and talk of donor conception, it was the individuals that are brought into being as a result that were the least considered of all" - might have been true back in 2011, but it is now the donor who is least considered now.  How many safety systems are in place for donors?  So, if a 20 year old who is a danger to society was conceived by sperm donation, they're allowed to just 'look you up'?
  4. "As people have entered their 20s and 30s and had their own families, this call seemed to be getting louder" - so, not necessarily a higher percentage of people seeking their donor's details, just the vocal majority are getting louder about it.

Gotta love how the hamster spin this "Dr" has to justify taking away the anonymity of all of a group of men because she'd found a couple that didn't care.  How many donors are consulted before misleading 'studies' like this are allowed to see the light of day?

Here's the reality of the world: for all of the donors who WANT to be found, they can go on registries that will try to match them up with donor children, assuming the children are even looking.  Hell, they could even broadcast online the approximate dates and place they donated and take a DNA test with anyone who comes forward.

It just seems so short-sighted to rationalize major changes in the system because a few loud people are complaining when the system will stop working when the number of donors continues to drop.  We're already importing sperm from the USA due to chronic shortages here, but the shortage isn't due to male infertility, rather an unwillingness by local men to sign up for an already inconsistent and shady deal.

Any man who donates gets a nominal amount of money whilst supposedly helping a loving woman or couple have a child, but the reality is that they're donating to a for-profit business that is making money not only from the sperm donated, but also off the own personal information of the donor as the recipients are apparently allowed to access more of your personal information if they pay the company more money.  Do any of the men whose information is being brokered and sold on in the deal see a cent of that money?  No, but that's because they've been 'paid' for their services, so any additional money that can be extracted from a recipient is just more profit for the company.

If the system is going to survive long term, there's going to have to be a shake-up of the overall situation because as it stands there's far more expectation on the side of the donors than anyone else and the number of donors relative to population should be a clear enough sign to the industry that the situation is clearly too single sided.

What penalty does a 22 year old woman get for assaulting a 77 year old? Only a $500 fine!

What penalty does a 22 year old woman get for assaulting a 77 year old? Only a $500 fine!  There was also a 6-month suspended sentence that runs out in two weeks, so it's really just the $500 fine.  Now, if a man had done the same thing there'd be real jail time, but, you know, we can't punish women for their stupid decisions.

I also notice how the 22 year old begins claiming victim status because of alleged threats against her following her extremely lenient sentence.  Maybe the people making threats weren't happy with her light sentence either.  My guess is that more people are going to issue threats against people who don't get appropriately punished for their crimes.  Not that I'm advocating for vigilante justice, but if that were your grandmother who was assaulted in public with no provocation and the judge issued only a two-month suspended sentence and a $500 fine, would you be happy that 'justice had been served'?

Perhaps there'd be less threats against criminals if there was a perception they were being properly punished for their crimes.

Please note that the original sentence was only a two-month suspended sentence and was appealed up to six months.  So, apparently being told to keep your record clean for three times longer is actually a punishment.  To the rest of that it's a part of 'normal' functioning.

I also wonder when the media will actually start to notice the disparity in sentencing between men and women, but that's a whole different discussion.

Media still trying to sell sperm donation to lonely introverts

Here's another story about a lonely introvert who met the recipient of his donation and has since 'found love'.

The selling point? You too could potentially marry the recipient of your sperm, assuming that she's not already in a relationship, is heterosexual AND wants to meet you before the mandatory information release date of 18 years.

Keep trying media, keep trying.  I think maybe one or two people might donate after seeing this, but I don't think much more than that.
